In 1983, Acorn Wood Designs started as a one-man woodshop that operated out of a garage in the Vancouver neighborhood of Kerrisdale.

Over the years Acorn has grown to become an award-winning architectural millwork company by focusing on quality craftsmanship and relationships. Acorn's high-quality woodwork can be seen in many of the top hospitality brands throughout Canada and the USA including JOEY, The Keg, Hy’s Steakhouse, and Earls.

Acorn is a proud member of the Architectural Woodwork Manufacturers Association of Canada, BC chapter (AWMAC) and has received several Gold Awards of Excellence in both Service and Quality categories.

In 2017, Acorn was acquired by Peregrine, one of Canada’s largest retail display and millwork manufacturers in Western Canada, and is now a division of Peregrine.

Our team is passionate individuals who take pride in their trade expertise.

Each craftsperson has a unique focus and brings their knowledge and skill-set to each project. Acorn also works with apprentices from BCIT and is a firm believer in creating opportunities and an environment for students to practice what they learn while in school. Many of our apprentices find full-time opportunities within our shop after apprenticing.
